Unity Friday Friends With Flair

Thank heavens it is Friday. I’ve had such a busy week and had to contend with a three year old who doesn’t want to go to bed before 1:00 a.m.. To top things off, the weather has been cold, cloudy and wet. I’d thought I’d prepare a bright and cheery card for Unity Friday Friends with Flair to brighten up my Friday! I used the birdy stamp and sentiment from Unity’s August KOTM, Following My Heart, coloured it in with my copics, sponged on some blue and white SU ink and added some Stickles. Other products used are Memento ink, Neenah and SU Cardstock, Bella dots and Fiskars border punch. I’m not sure where the ribbon is from but I found it in my stash and absolute love it!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thinking of You

Here's my take on this week's Unity Bachelor Bro Challenge Week #6. We had to use pink and brown and make your card manly but sweet. Well, I'm not sure this qualifies as manly. I used Unity's Autumn Pals set, Grainy Background and Sending My Love set. Products used: Copic markers, Memento and Unity ink, Unity stamps, SU cardstock and punches, u/k ribbon, dollar store pearls, glossy accents and liquid pearls.

Unity Friday Friends With Flair

I had a chance to play with my October/09 Unity U.R. {etcetera....} Scrapbooking kit with week! I love this kit. It’s so versatile and the stamps are amazing - no need to journal!!! The papers are so beautiful! Everything used on the layout was from the kit plus some SU kraft cardstock for the base, staples, EK Success Notebook punch and a red CM journal pen.

I can’t wait to see everyone’s creations this week. Every week I am amazed and get so inspired from the talented Unity participants and DT Team. For a complete list of today’s Unity Friday Friends With Flair, please check out Angela’s blog. One lucky participant who finds the Friday Friends with Flair blinkie and leaves a comment will win a grab bag full of 25 Unity Stamps!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Friday Sketchers

Here's my take on Challenge #2 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog to use buttons on your project. I received my stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie yesterday, her entire release (thank you so much Kimmie) and inked up and coloured Lillith right away. Isn't she sassy!! I love the little frog. This stamp set comes with a co-ordinating little froggy which I coloured and placed inside the card under the sentiment. I used Friday Sketchers Sketch #74 for my design. My card is 6 x 6 and the products used are: Neenah ultra smooth white cs and SU cs, copic markers, CTMH pp, cs and buttons, DMC thread, white uniball pen, Oval Nestabilities, machine stitching and May Arts ribbon.

Tool Belt Card

Here is my card for this week's Unity's Bachelor Challenge #5. I thought this card was perfect considering all of Unity's tool belt peeps and outakes! We were challenged to use things around the house that you wouldn't normally put on a card. Well, I found a mini-hammer, mini-saw, nails, wrench and nuts to use! I had so much fun raiding my dh's tool stash! Unity stamps used are: Measurement stamp from LeChic Vintage (I made the grey ruler and tucked it in the middle pouch) and sentiment stamp from the Autumn Pals set on the inside of card. The seam stitching is all hand-stitched. Inspiration for this card came from: Mel Stampz

Fall Fun

Since the weather has been so "fall like" I was inspired to do a Fall layout using Karen Thind's sketch for this month's Scraptivity Monthly Sketch. On the 15th of each month, one of the designers creates a sketch and then the other designers create layouts based on the sketch. I used Fancy Pants and Recollections patterened paper, SU cardstock, Colorbox chalk ink and Tim Holtz Distress ink, Cuttlebug embossing folder and die, u/k twine, CTMH stapes, CM leaf punch and journal pen and my Slice for the title, acorns and large leaf. Picture was taken by Morgan MacKinnon and is of Alexandra playing in the leaves on our front yard last October /08.

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and Friday Sketchers

This image is Charlotte by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Isn't she adorable!!! She even comes with an accessory stamp! Kimmie made her debut grand opening and I was lucky enough to win her entire release on her DT blog hop! I am so excited to be receiving her first release of wonderful stamps!
Every week you will find a challenge on Krafty Girl Challenge Blog. Check it out! This week's theme was "Birthday". I don't have Kraftin Kimmie's sentiment set yet so I used a SU birthday sentiment from the Circle of Friendship set.
I coloured in Charlotte with my copics, added some stickles and cut her out with my Nestablities. Patterened paper is Daisy D's, SU cs, sentiment stamp and ribbon, CTMH flowers, dewdrops, Doodlebug brad, Glimmer Mist and corrugated cardboard.
I used Friday Sketcher's Sketch #73

Scraptivity October/09 Kit

Here's a cute little Backpack gift box made with my Scraptivity October/09 kit. 7 Gypsies Pandora patterened paper, Bazzill Sienna cardstock, SU ribbon, velcro, eyelets from my stash and beads from the kit. I used my Martha Stewart and CM butterfly punches. These little backpacks are so adorable and would be perfect to decorate for back to school, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc..
