Art Journal Pages - 2nd post today

Just thought I'd share a couple more art journal pages that I've been working on.






I've used Unity's Donna Downey Stamps on both of them as well as a Donna Downey Foam stamp on the first one.  LOVE my Donna Downey stamps!

Art Journal Page



Here's another page in my Art Journal I played around with yesterday. I just received some new stamps from Unity - Donna Downey's Be Still Watercolor Kit and Donna Poppy Background. I used my new Kai Watercolors, Shiva Oil Art sticks, some Acrylic paint, Staz-On ink and my date stamp.  I love how soft my page turned out! These images would look so gorgeous on a layout!

Polished Stone

Here's another card created with my May/11 Art Freckles card kit!



I decided to play with the Polished Stone Technique found here on Splitcoast Stampers! I also did up my own step-by-step tutorial on this technique and posted it on this month's try this technique on the Art Freckles Blog!

Products used: Art Freckles May card kit, SU cs, LYB dp, Glossy photo paper, LYB butterfly embellishment, Kaiser Pearls, Staz-On ink, SU re-inkers and Unity's Donna Downey Create Today stamp set.

Happy Just Where She Was - 2nd post today

I recently took an online She Art Workshop from Christy Tomlinson. You can sign up or read all about the details here!

Here is my first She Art Girl mixed media canvas! I just love how she turned out! I've definitely found a new addiction and can't wait to start on my next girl!


I used a ton of products on my canvas, here's a few:  Golden, Liquitex and American paints, Unity, Prima, FP and G Studio Stamps, Liquitex Gesso, Modge Podge, Staz-On ink, FP stamps, FP, Bo Bunny, CTMH, K & CO, HG and KP rub-ons, Pilot Uniball pen, Reeves pastels, Liquitex Modelling paste, Canvas material, Neocolor crayons, Faber Castel india ink markers, and Jenni Bowlin dp.

You can pick up a lot of your supplies at Christy's shop Scarlet Lime!

Christy is also starting an online art journaling course which begins on May 23rd called She had 3 hearts! I've signed up and am super excited for it to begin!

Inspiration Journal

Here's a page I completed today in my Art Inspiration Journal. Kyra (Scrapacat) Sandstone started an Art Challenge blog called Art It Does A Body Good and this week's challenge was to Embrace Your Gesso Dragon! I'm so excited I stumbled upon this blog and I am so looking forward to working in my journal more frequently now! I apologize for the poor picture - it's hard to see the texture in  the page but I took my picture late tonight.

Products used:  Unity's Donna Downey's She set, White Liquitex Gesso, Americana Paints, Watercolors, Staz-On Ink, Onion Bag (for texture), Distress inks, Ontario Reports book page and a Zig pen.

Beauty


Happy Sunday! Inspiration for my card today comes from two challenges - Etsy Inspired Challenge #100 and Wee Memories Challenge #17! I finally got to ink up my Unity Butterfly Beauty set! Products used for my card: Bazzill and SU cs, Memento ink, machine stitching, Ontario Reports book paper, Distress inks and Golden Titanium White paint. Unity Friday Friends With Flair

Happy Friday! Welcome to another Friday Friends With Flair!!! Today I have 2 CAS cards to share with you featuring Unity's Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety set!



My first card uses the adorable pea image and sentiment. Of course I had to use the coordinating Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp, Bazzill cs, FabricLand gingham ribbon, Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Memento ink and Ippity Haystack ink, CTMH button and I added some glossy accents to the peas.





My next card uses the sweet little tomato and sentiment. Again I used the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp, EK Success punch, SU kraft cs, Memento ink, Ippity Haystack ink and twine.

My card for today's Unity FWF features the Unity May Store KOTM "Moment's In Bloom & Naturally You" which I purchased from Limelight Papercrafts. Inspiration for my card came from last week's hip hop sketch challenge #9. Products used: Distress inks, SU confetti cs, Webster's Pages dp and trim, machine stitching, Making Memories button and handmade crochet flower.






Post updated: I really wanted to play along with this week's Etsy Inspired Challenge so I took the opportunity to ink up my new Unity Melody Ross Brave Girls kit! Products used: GCD dp, SU cs, Ontario Law Reports book paper, twine, u/k button and lace, DMC floss and Distress inks.

Happy Friday everyone! Wow! What a busy and exciting Unity week! Unfortunately I only have one card to share with you today due to the fact I've been swamped with other commitments and I absolutey had to do some serious Unity shopping today! Don't you just love the new Unity Cosmo Cricket sets? I can't wait to receive mine!




My card for today was made for the Unity Anniversary Martini Sketch Challenge #1. I used my Unity April KOTM - Together We Bloom. Products used: Bazzill and Neenah cs, CTMH, Cosmo and DCVW dp, Copic markers, CTMH buttons, twine, maching stitching, Nestabilities, FabricLand gingham ribbon and Ippity Moulin Rouge ink. Good Times



Here's a layout inspired by Unity's Simple Sunday Scrapping Sketch #2. I used Scraptivity's August /07 kit for my layout. I just love the funky papers by Rouge de Garance in this kit. Spring Fever





Here's my layout that I prepared for Unity's Simple Scrapbook Challenge #1 at Splitcoaststampers. I used Unity's February/March Scrapbooking Collage kit "Favourite Things" for my layout. Everything was from the kit plus Bazzill cs, Versa Color and Memento inks, machine stitching and an Identi-pen journal pen. I used my Slice to cut my title. Journalling reads: "Isabella was so excited to get outside and play once all the snow had melted! She even dressed herself and didn't care that her mittens didn't match! March 14, 2010".

Unity Friday Friends With Flair


Happy Friday everyone! My day got away from me yesterday and I didn't get to finish my Unity project that I wanted to share for today so I made a quick and easy CAS card.



My card uses Unity's Dream Tree Background stamp. Inspiration for my card came from this week's Etsy Inspired Challenge #80. Here's a picture of my inspiration piece from Design's by Cathy. There is some beautiful jewellery and eye candy at her store!




Products used: SU cs, twine, Distress inks, Versamark and Zing embossing powder.
