Paper Makeup Stamps Surprise Baby Shower Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday and welcome to the Paper Makeup Stamps Design Team Member Lisa McKinney's surprise baby shower blog hop! Lisa is expecting her 2nd child any day now and we are having a surprise baby shower hop for her! You should have arrived at my blog from Tangii's blog, if not, please start the hop at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog so you don't miss a thing!

I have two co-ordinating projects that I prepared for Lisa's surprise hop (and put them in the mail earlier this week) hopefully they arrive for Lisa before baby comes! I used the adorable bumblebee from the Buggy Sayings set on both my card and matching onesie. Products used for my card: Bazzill cs, Memento ink, Copic Markers, SU punches and buttons and Rock Candy Stickles. For the onesie I used a plain white Gerber Baby onesie, pre-washed and ironed it and them stamped directly onto the fabric with black Hybrid Palette ink. I then coloured in the bee with my copics and did a final heat-set with my iron.

Your next stop on the hop is Sherry! I hope you and Lisa enjoy her surprise hop! I can't wait to check out what the rest of the PMS DT have created for her today and am so anxious to see some pics of the baby once it arrives!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Butterball

Our new baby is home! Meet Butterball, our 7 1/2 week old female Golden Retriever! She arrived home last night after our trip to Trout Creek to pick her up and bring her home. The trip was good and she was an angel except getting car sick 3 TIMES!!! Can't blame the poor little thing having had her first road trip. Last night was good, she slept from 10:00 p.m. until she woke at 5:00 a.m. to have a pee and then went back to sleep until 8:00 a.m.! She has been a perfect little lady and hasn't had any accidents in the house! Alexandra, Isabella  and Kayla absolutely adore her and even Joe is getting attached to her! So far so good and we are so happy with our new family member!

Lollipop Girl

Today I can finally share some exciting news! Jennipher Lowery chose me to be one of her new design team members for her new sketch challenge site, Scrappin' Silhouettes!

Here's a little information about Scrappin' Silhouettes by Jennipher Lowrey:

"First of all, your probably wondering what is a Scrappin' Silhouette.
Well here is the definition of silhouette:

A representation of someone or something showing the shape and outline only, typically colored in solid black. Starting to get the picture? Or should I say, Silhouette?

So, if you take the definition of "Silhouette" and you combine it with what you know scrappin' to be, you should end up with something like a scrappin' diagram, scrappin' sketch, a page plan etc. and that would be absolutely correct.

Scrappin' Silhouettes is my name for the scrapbook sketches I will be creating and sharing with you. For years now I have been following along with everyone else's sketches and one day I said, "wait a minute, why don't you create your own? You have the software, you have the time." So, I decided it's time for me to stop being a follower and do my own thing.

Since I know everyone has a different style of sketch they prefer I have set up a rotation that will offer something for everyone. Here goes...
First Thursday of every month will be a one-photo sketch
Second Thursday of every month will be a two-photo sketch
Third Thursday of every month will be a three-photo sketch
Fourth Thursday of every month will be a four-photo sketch
When there is a Fifth Thursday in a month we will have a double-page sketch with five or more photos.

I firmly believe that sketches are meant to be a starting point. Feel free to adapt any of my designs to suit your scrapping needs. Rotate or flip the sketch. Add or take away a layer or photo. Include more or less embellishments. Place the title in a different spot. All that matters is that you are inspired to create something!"

Every Thursday, Scrappin' Silhouettes will post a new silhouette and samples by the Design Team. Link up your finished layout based on the silhouette to be entered into a monthly drawing for a Rak!

Now on to my layout. I have been neglecting my scrapbooks lately so I was super excited when I was asked to be part of Jennipher's team! When you use a sketch or silhouette, your layouts come together so much faster and easier because it takes a lot of the guess work and design work out which I usually spend too much time stressing over!

My layout today uses these adorable pictures I have of our youngest Isabella! Products used:  The Girls Paperie - Paper Girl dp, SU cs and ribbon, Distress inks, Sizzix dies, Lil Davis Chip alphas, Making Memories paint, u/k buttons and machine stitching. The flowers were made using my new Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Floral die.

Here's a look at this week's silhouette. I hope you play along!
