Tool Belt Card

Here is my card for this week's Unity's Bachelor Challenge #5. I thought this card was perfect considering all of Unity's tool belt peeps and outakes! We were challenged to use things around the house that you wouldn't normally put on a card. Well, I found a mini-hammer, mini-saw, nails, wrench and nuts to use! I had so much fun raiding my dh's tool stash! Unity stamps used are: Measurement stamp from LeChic Vintage (I made the grey ruler and tucked it in the middle pouch) and sentiment stamp from the Autumn Pals set on the inside of card. The seam stitching is all hand-stitched. Inspiration for this card came from: Mel Stampz

Unity Friday Friends With Flair

Hi everyone! TGIF! Has everyone been shopping at the amazing sale at Unity? I know I took advantage of their 30% off everything sale yesterday! The sale is going on all weekend so I think I may have to take another look!

For today's Unity Friday Friends with Flair, I made two Halloween cards. The first one uses Unity's Spooky Ghost and the second is Unity's Little Witchy. I think they are both adorable and perfect for Halloween! Products used were Bazzill cs, Recollections pp, Cuttlebug embossing folders, BossKut die, Martha Stewart punches, copic markes, stickles, u/k ribbon, dewdrops, Tim Holtz Distress and Memento Inks and Copic Atyou spica glitter pen.

I'm so looking forward to having a peek at all of the wonderful and inspiring creations today! Please go to Angela's blog for a complete list of Friday Friends with Flair participants.
Have a great weekend!

Fall Fun

Since the weather has been so "fall like" I was inspired to do a Fall layout using Karen Thind's sketch for this month's Scraptivity Monthly Sketch. On the 15th of each month, one of the designers creates a sketch and then the other designers create layouts based on the sketch. I used Fancy Pants and Recollections patterened paper, SU cardstock, Colorbox chalk ink and Tim Holtz Distress ink, Cuttlebug embossing folder and die, u/k twine, CTMH stapes, CM leaf punch and journal pen and my Slice for the title, acorns and large leaf. Picture was taken by Morgan MacKinnon and is of Alexandra playing in the leaves on our front yard last October /08.

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and Friday Sketchers

This image is Charlotte by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Isn't she adorable!!! She even comes with an accessory stamp! Kimmie made her debut grand opening and I was lucky enough to win her entire release on her DT blog hop! I am so excited to be receiving her first release of wonderful stamps!
Every week you will find a challenge on Krafty Girl Challenge Blog. Check it out! This week's theme was "Birthday". I don't have Kraftin Kimmie's sentiment set yet so I used a SU birthday sentiment from the Circle of Friendship set.
I coloured in Charlotte with my copics, added some stickles and cut her out with my Nestablities. Patterened paper is Daisy D's, SU cs, sentiment stamp and ribbon, CTMH flowers, dewdrops, Doodlebug brad, Glimmer Mist and corrugated cardboard.
I used Friday Sketcher's Sketch #73

Scraptivity October/09 Kit

Here's a cute little Backpack gift box made with my Scraptivity October/09 kit. 7 Gypsies Pandora patterened paper, Bazzill Sienna cardstock, SU ribbon, velcro, eyelets from my stash and beads from the kit. I used my Martha Stewart and CM butterfly punches. These little backpacks are so adorable and would be perfect to decorate for back to school, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc.. Complete instructions, template and tutorial for this awesome project can be found here.

My Angel

Here's another layout using Scraptivity's October /09 Kit using Prima Fruity Jungle patterned paper and Burgundy Bazzill cardstock.

This month’s Royal Flush alphabets were so fun to work with. I embossed them with white embossing powder and then used my craft knife to cut them out. Against I used a Bazzill In Stitch to sew in the bead flourishes. All kit contents plus:
Handmade crochet flowers by me, DMC floss, buttons from stash, DB brads, Versamark ink, white embossing powder, Colorbox chalk ink in Maroon, White Versacolor ink from May/08 S! Kit, Wing stamps (Hearts a Flutter) are from Feb/07 S! Kit (I filled them in with Glossy Accents from the July /09 S! kit and then sprinkled white Doodlebug glitter on them), CM journal pen, Stickles, Prima Cherry Blossom Branch from this month’s S! add-ons.
